NED GILL, III has a long family tradition in Texas. He’s a fourth generation Houstonian and sixth generation Texan. His great-great-great-grandfather, Abner Smith Lipscomb, was the Secretary of State of the Republic of Texas and when Texas joined the Union he was appointed by the Governor of Texas as the first Associate Judge of the Texas Supreme Court.  Lipscomb County, Texas is named in honor of Abner Smith Lipscomb.

Mr. Gill went to Law School immediately after college and upon graduation in 1991 opened his own law practice which is now known as GILL LAW.  Mr. Gill practices in the areas of Family Law, Estate Planning, Probate Law and Criminal Law. Mr. Gill has practiced law for over 30 years developing substantial trial experience and legal knowledge in divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, property divisions, wills, trusts and estates, and in all areas of criminal law.

Mr. Gill understands that when a family is faced with separation and ultimately divorce, it is one of the most stressful and difficult events of a person’s life. When a child is involved, it is a parent’s role and responsibility to protect the best interest of the child. With this understanding, Mr. Gill believes a serious effort should be made to amicably resolve any dispute before the divorce becomes unmanageable and out of control. However, if the other side decides to wage war, then Mr. Gill has the experience, knowledge, and toughness to win. Mr. Gill’s reputation is fighting for his clients and getting what his clients deserve.

Mr. Gill is a member of multiple bar associations, is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, Federal District Court, and the United States Supreme Court. He’s published articles and several briefs for the court of appeals. Additionally, Mr. Gill has been a featured guest speaker on radio shows, and television.
